Welcome

School description

Our teaching and learning facilities have expanded significantly in recent years, and in 2014, AISM opened our new Junior School and Performing Arts Building. This three storey building integrates flexible teaching spaces and a purpose built performing arts floor. In 2015, we have made significant improvements to the Middle and Senior School building which now boasts four new science laboratories, a design and technology laboratory, a senior studies and careers centre, as well as a large multi purpose area, all with the latest technology for students and staff to use. We are completing plans for more improvements, including more multi purpose sports courts, a new art centre and school car park.

All areas of our school are places for learning. While we teach thoroughly researched and reviewed Australian curricula, learning is not limited to the classroom, nor is it limited to the usual school hours. Our students choose from a broad range of extracurricular and co curricular activities that develop important 21st century life skills such as critical thinking, problem solving, team building, public speaking, leadership, organisation and importantly, skills of independence and self confidence.

As a truly international school, we prepare our students to take their place as leaders in a global community with strong values in life. Below are core values (RECIPE) that guide staff and students:

Respecting and caring for each other
Being dedicated to a culture of Excellence
Openness in Communication
Acting with Integrity
Being Passionate in what we do
Creating an Enjoyable Environment

Our students are actively engaged in their learning, thanks to the dedication and expertise of our mainly Australian teachers.
